This statement was made during a telephone conversation between the two leaders on November 22, DW reports.
According to party representative Miley, Argentina is interested in holding this summit, because it will allow Ukraine to attract Latin American countries to the issue of war.
We are ready to become the “headquarters” if necessary,” the representative added in a conversation with reporters.
The day before, Vladimir Zelensky said that he discussed with Miley the Ukrainian peace formula and the development of bilateral relations between the countries. The Ukrainian president added that he invited his Argentine colleague to visit Ukraine and thanked him for his clear position on Russian aggression.
Last weekend, Argentina elected a new president – Javier Miley.
He advocates economic shock therapy to reverse decades of ineffective policies. Argentina is considered an opponent of China against joining BRICS and seeks to expand cooperation with the United States, as well as introduce the circulation of the American dollar in the country.
Strongly supports Ukraine. In an interview with The Economist, he said that he “was one of the first to condemn the invasion.”
