The actions of European Union countries “force us to do what we are doing now,” Dmitry Peskov said.
Russia does not threaten Europe. In fact, it’s the other way around. This statement was made by Kremlin Speaker Dmitry Peskov on Wednesday, November 23.
“Russia does not threaten Europe – Europe poses a threat to Russia,” he said, commenting on similar words of Czech President Petr Pavel.
According to Peskov, Europe “is a continent controlled by the United States.”
“The EU is participating in NATO, which is moving with all its military power towards our borders. This is what poses a threat to us. This is why we are doing what we are doing now,” he said.
The Kremlin spokesman also believes there has been “a lot of happy talk” coming out of Prague recently.
“Such hysterical statements do not suit the leadership of the Czech Republic. Well, this is the generation of politicians in power. This is more their problem, not ours,” Peskov said.
Let’s remember that Peter Pavel said that NATO now sees Russia as the biggest threat to Europe. The EU is preparing for a possible “high-intensity conflict” on the continent.
In turn, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a cynical statement about the war in Ukraine.
