Peter Pavel believes that Russia needs “at least five to seven years to restore its combat capability.”
Russia could fully restore its combat capability within six years. This is what Czech President Petr Pavel said, Ceske Noviny reported on Wednesday, November 22.
The deadline for the recovery of the Russian Federation depends on the results of the war in Ukraine, but Russia should need at least five to seven years to restore its combat capability, he believes.
“On the other hand, there are many variables in the calculation that can change the situation. It really depends on what will be the outcome of the conflict in Ukraine,” the Czech leader emphasized.
According to him, NATO now sees Russia as the biggest threat to Europe. The EU is preparing for a possible “high-intensity conflict” on the continent.
Earlier, Petr Pavel, at a meeting with foreign diplomats working in Prague, said that the Czech Republic remains committed to supporting the sovereignty of Ukraine, realizing the extreme importance of such a position. He added that the situation in Europe now depends on whether Ukraine will survive.
