The head of the Ministry of Defense noted that a new coalition of ground-based air defense systems has been formed.
Ukraine receives new military aid packages. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced this on his Telegram channel on Wednesday, November 22.
“Every bullet given to Ukraine is an opportunity to destroy an enemy stronghold,” the official said.
He added that as a result of the meeting, a new coalition of ground-based air defense systems was formed, which was joined by 20 countries. The leaders of the coalition are Germany and France.
Umerov recalled that Germany had already announced $1.4 billion in aid. The Netherlands has prepared two billion euros for military aid to Ukraine. Estonia provides half a million dollars in funding for IT coalition activities, in addition to Luxembourg’s commitment of 10 million euros. Great Britain and Norway, within the framework of the Maritime Coalition, will look for ways to strengthen security in the Black Sea.
The head of the Ministry of Defense thanked his partners for their support and addressed the defense ministers of the partner countries. The official invited them to go on official visits to Ukraine to see for themselves that the help they provided is being effectively used and bringing our victory day closer.
“Ukraine’s victory will be a clear signal for dictatorships. It will be a signal that the crime of aggression will be punished,” Umerov concluded.
We remind you that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky will report that new aid packages for Ukraine were announced at a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine. Zelensky added that Rustem Umerov’s report on the results of the Ramstein-17 meeting should be expected in the near future.
As we have already written, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said that since April of last year, member countries of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine have allocated more than $80 billion for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
