Ursula von der Leyen said Ukraine was going through difficult times and made sure Europe was on our side.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during her visit to Kyiv on Saturday, June 11, visited the Ukrainian defenders who were injured in front of the capital’s hospital. He announced this on his Twitter page.

“I visited the soldiers recovering in a hospital in Kyiv. Despite their injuries, their spirits were not broken. Their determination was full,” the message said.

Von der Leyen noted that Ukraine is going through difficult times and made sure that Europe is on our side.

Recall, the head of the European Commission made the second visit to Kyiv since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

After talking with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he said that the EC will conclude discussions on a conclusion on the status of an EU candidate for Ukraine by the end of next week.
