It is proposed to increase the minimum price for wine and other strong alcoholic beverages by 5-14%, prices for alcohol products – by 40-85%.
The Ministry of Economy proposes to raise the minimum price for alcoholic beverages. This is stated in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
It is proposed to increase the minimum retail price:
-
for vodka – by 4.7% – from 89.4 to 93.6 hryvnia per 0.5 liter bottle
-
for cognac (brandy) three stars – by 6% – 128.3 to 136 hryvnia per 0.5 liter bottle
-
for cognac (brandy) four stars by 6.6% – from 139.3 to 148.6 hryvnia per 0.5 liter bottle
-
for cognac (brandy) five stars of 6.4% – from 151.7 to 161.4 hryvnia per 0.5 liter bottle
-
for natural grape wines in glass containers with a capacity of 0.7 l – by 57% – from 42 to 66 hryvnias per bottle
-
for sparkling wines in glass containers with a capacity of 0.7 l and 0.75 l of 11.9% – from 109 to 122 hryvnias per bottle.
It was noted that the current minimum price was established in 2021 and does not correspond to the real costs of business entities for the production and sale of alcoholic beverages and requires adjustment.
Therefore, it is proposed to increase the minimum price for vodka, liqueur, and other strong alcoholic beverages by 5-14%; retail prices for alcohol products (except sparkling and carbonated alcoholic beverages) – by 40-85%, and for sparkling wines and carbonated alcoholic beverages by 12%.
In addition, it is planned to establish different levels of minimum retail prices for regular (non-sparkling) wines, liquors, vermouths and other fermented beverages depending on the type and capacity of the container/packaging: in glass and other containers with a capacity of 0.7 liters and Tetra-type packaging Pak and Bag in the box, metal cans made of food-grade aluminum, PET polymer bottles with a capacity of 1 liter.
It was previously reported that prices for some products in Ukraine dropped by almost half in a month. The price of seasonal vegetables has come down by 50%.
We remind you that in Ukraine in June, buckwheat prices fell the most, and prices for eggs, rice, and sunflower oil also fell.
