In an evening video message to the people of Ukraine, President Vladimir Zelensky spoke about a new aid package from Germany.
“We have a new strong support package from Germany. It is defense support – 1 billion 300 million euros. And among other things in this package, the strengthening of our air defense, especially the creation of new system Iris-T and air defense missiles. Thanks to this, our cities, thousands of lives of our people will be saved from Russian terror. It is very important that this package also includes the artillery we need – a really serious package, more.
The President also said that he discussed with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius the situation on the battlefield and cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the joint production of weapons.
In addition, Zelensky spoke about meetings with the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of Moldova Maia Sandu, who visited Ukraine on the Day of Dignity and Freedom. According to him, these meetings are also very productive.
The President also announced the awarding of paratroopers on the Day of Paratroopers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which is also celebrated on November 21.
