The Verkhovna Rada, with the votes of 323 people’s representatives, supported in the first reading, as a basis, bill No. 10203-1, which provides for an increase in the staff of NABU.

People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on his Telegram channel today, November 21.
The bill provides for an increase in the maximum number of NABU staff from 700 to 1000 people.
They provide for a phased competition for filling additional vacant positions:
- in 2024 – by 100 positions;
- in 2025 – by 100 positions;
- in 2026 – by 100 positions.
This is an important bill, which is one of the main ones in our European obligations, Zheleznyak emphasized.
Also, the Verkhovna Rada today in the first reading supported other bills important for European integration related to the anti-corruption sphere:
- Bill No. 10262, which provides the NAPC with the ability to inspect property acquired for public service. For – 287 deputies;
- bill No. 10060 on the independence of SAP. For – 286 people’s deputies.
