The French leader spoke with his Chinese counterpart and urged him to maintain dialogue with Kiev.
French President Emmanuel Macron, in a telephone conversation with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, urged him to maintain dialogue with Ukraine. This was reported on Monday, November 20, by the press service of the Elysee Palace.
It was noted that Macron during the conversation expressed France’s continued support for Ukraine, which continues to resist Russia’s aggressive war, as well as deep concern over reports of military cooperation between Russia and North Korea.
“Continuing exchanges between China and Ukraine at the highest level after his state visit to China in April this year, he called on Chinese authorities to maintain dialogue with Kiev,” the statement said.
The leaders also discussed the situation in the Middle East and issues of bilateral relations.
Let’s remember that Macron previously said that Russia has become a vassal of China and has “geopolitically lost” the war in Ukraine.
