NABU detectives on Monday, November 20, reported the suspicion of a citizen who the previous day was exposed for giving 200 thousand UAH of illegal benefits to the commander of OSGV Odessa. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) reported this on its Telegram channel.
A person’s actions qualify under the article Offering and giving an unlawful benefit to an official for his actions in the interest of a person who offers and gives such a benefit through the prior conspiracy of a group of persons (Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)
SAPS recalled that 200 thousand hryvnias were transferred from the head of a private company for issuing a separate order to obtain permission to fish for biological resources in the prohibited border zone.
The commander of OSGV Odessa wrote the corresponding statement, and also contributed to the exposure and investigation of this crime.
The issue of applying a preventive measure to the suspect is currently being decided, and the investigation is underway.
