Representatives of all parliamentary factions are working on the document. We are talking not only about the right to demobilization from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also about new responsibilities for those liable for military service. People’s deputies Alexey Goncharenko and Marianna Bezugla reported this on social networks.
According to Bezugla, the Rada plans to eliminate the possibility of avoiding conscription by obtaining a second higher education. They want to register men with a criminal record with the military. It is proposed to lift the ban on providing information about registration of place of residence when concluding an employment contract.
Lawmakers also want to expand the list of persons who are registered for military service and reduce the number of citizens entitled to deferred care for a person with disability groups I and II or in need of constant care.
Goncharenko noted that the authors of the law propose to grant the right to demobilization to military personnel with disabilities of groups I and II and those returning from captivity. Military personnel who are adoptive parents, guardians, trustees of orphans and children deprived of parental care will also be subject to demobilization in the absence of other persons who can care for them.
The people’s deputy stressed that he will insist on the demobilization of soldiers after 18 months of service.
Let us recall that the British edition of the BBC reported that almost 20 thousand men fled from Ukraine since the beginning of a full-scale war and avoided conscription into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The evaders illegally crossed the border with Ukraine’s neighbors Romania, Moldova, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
