The pope again called for peace in Ukraine and the Middle East during his Sunday prayers.
Pope Francis again called for peace in Ukraine and the Middle East in a speech on Sunday. It was reported by Reuters.
The Pontiff expressed the need to continue efforts to end conflicts.
“I pray for the tormented people in Ukraine… and for the people in Palestine and Israel. Peace is possible, good will is needed,” Pope Francis told the parishioners at St. Peter’s Square at morning prayers.
The head of the Vatican said that the world community should not resign itself, because “war is always a defeat in which only the weapons manufacturers benefit.”
Let’s remember that earlier the Pope criticized Europe for the fact that countries do not offer “creative ways” to end the war in Ukraine. The Pope’s envoy, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, called on the EU to make more efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
