Instead of Major General of the Medical Service Tatyana Ostashchenko, Major General of the Medical Service Anatoly Kazmirchuk was appointed as the new commander.
President Vladimir Zelensky replaced the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of state announced this in a video message on Sunday, November 19.
“Today there is an important personnel decision. On the recommendation of the Minister of Defense, I replaced the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” said the Ukrainian leader.
According to Zelensky, instead of Major General of the Medical Service Tatyana Ostashchenko, Major General of the Medical Service Anatoly Kazmirchuk was appointed as the new commander. He holds the position of head of the National Military Medical Clinical Center Main military clinical hospital in Kyiv.
“The task is obvious – and this has been said repeatedly in society, especially in the community of our combat medics – we need a fundamentally new level of medical support for our soldiers,” the president said.
Zelensky noted that, in particular, it is necessary from high-quality turnstiles to complete digitalization and transparency in supplies, from high-quality training to sincere communication with combat medics in units if where the medicine is actually deployed correctly and effectively.
“The experience of the effectiveness of specific units should be extended to all defense forces,” the head of state added.
Orders on changes in the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already appeared on the website of the Office of the President.
We remind you that Ukrainian Pravda previously wrote that the Ministry of Defense is considering the possibility of firing three commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are discussing the dismissal of the commander of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Tatyana Ostashchenko, the commander of the Operational-Strategic Group of Troops Tavria Alexander Tarnavsky and the commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Naev.
