The Spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat commented in the telethon on the order of President Vladimir Zelensky about the Russian MiG-31 fighters, received by the Ministry of Defense.

He suggested that after the head of state gave this instruction, a discussion on this issue took place in a small circle. According to Ignat, when this decision is seen and received, the Air Force will implement it. At the same time, the representative of the Supreme Court said that he had no information about the timing.

“It was announced that the president ordered to find solutions and, I think, discussions about this issue took place in a small circle. If there is such a decision, the Air Force will carry it out. There are no options here. I have no such information about when it will happen,” – said Ignat.

Let’s recall that Zelensky recently ordered the Ministry of Defense to find a solution to long-term air alerts by Russian MiG-31 fighters, which carry Kinzhal-type missiles. The President noted that the current level of air defense “allows us to somewhat modernize the response without an unnecessary shutdown of the country.”

According to Zelensky, the Russians deliberately let the MiG-31 fly in the sky for several hours to suspend the Ukrainian economy for the time being and sow panic among the population.

As you know, in the past few weeks, air raid alerts in Ukraine due to the takeoff of Russian MiG-31Ks lasted from three to four hours. The Ukrainian Air Force linked it to Russian military exercises to refuel fighters in the sky. Such maneuvers affect the life of Ukrainians: during the air raid raid, most establishments and institutions stopped working.
