In his opinion, Putin and Hamas terrorists are pursuing the same goal in the war – to wipe the neighboring democracy off the map.
Both Putin and Hamas are seeking to wipe their neighboring democracy off the world map. America cannot and will not allow this to happen. For our own national security interests and for the good of the world. The world is looking to us to solve the problems of our time. It is the duty of a leader, and America will lead. For if we move away from today’s challenges, the risk of conflict may spread and the costs of resolving them will increase. We won’t allow this.
Biden recalled that America knows from the experience of two world wars: when aggression in Europe remains unanswered, the crisis does not go away on its own, it directly involves America. The President called support for Ukraine today an investment in US security.
We keep American troops out of this war by supporting the brave Ukrainians defending their freedom and homeland. We’re giving them weapons and economic aid to stop Putin’s quest for conquest before the conflict spreads further,” Joe Biden wrote for The Washington Post.
