The destruction of the educational infrastructure on the territory of Ukraine is one of the tools of the Russian invaders.
An eight-year-old girl, Lyudmila, living in the Kiev region, asked St. Nicholas a new school so that he would have a place to study, because his educational institution was once destroyed by the Russian invaders. The Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovoy spoke about his letter to his patron.
“His school in Gorenka, in the Kiev region, was destroyed by Russian scum in 2022. Now the students are taken to other institutions or they study remotely. “I ask you to donate a new school, because the Russians burned the mine,” he wrote. ,” the official said.

The minister emphasized that the destruction of education infrastructure is one of the tools of the enemy.
So they want to take away our children’s right to education, their childhood. But they will not succeed. Schoolboys and schoolgirls in Ukraine and abroad have a passion for learning – it cannot be taken away. They want to constantly learn new things, communicate with classmates, and thrive in extracurricular activities. Each of them wants to go back to their school, to their teachers, to their friends,” the minister said.
He also offered to be Saint Nicholas for the children who suffered because of the war.
The minister added that the regional development department of Kyiv OVA is already preparing a project for the restoration of Lyceum No. 3 so that Lyuda and other students from Gorenka can return to their school.
On the night of November 4-5, Russian troops destroyed another school in another attack in the Kherson region.
We remind you that on August 23, the Russians carried out a drone strike on a school in Romny, Sumy region. The attack killed four people.
