On Friday, November 17, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to strengthen the defense of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said.
“A national security decision. Today we are allocating funds for the construction of fortifications in the Dnepropetrovsk region,” the statement said.
Shmygal said that in general, the construction is planned of 178 facilities necessary to protect the region and the whole country. He emphasized that it is very important to continue the work in this direction.
“After all, defense and security are our absolute priority,” said the head of government, promising to direct all forces and internal resources to these needs.
As you know, the Dnepropetrovsk region regularly suffers from Russian shelling, but there are no occupying troops in the region.
We remind you that Russian troops attacked the Nikopol region 11 times on November 14. Two men were wounded. One of them died.
Earlier, in the Nikopol region, a man was shot dead while he was cycling about his business. Tragedy occurred in the community of Marganets.
