The occupiers plan to build cheap housing for the locals next to their fortifications.
The Russian occupiers of Mariupol would build cheap apartment buildings, house the homeless there, and make them a “human shield” for their defensive structures. This was announced on Saturday, June 11, by Mariupol mayor’s adviser Petr Andryushchenko.
“Employment authorities are planning the construction of prefabricated apartment buildings using technology similar to the construction of shopping centers such as Underground. Actually – a temporary metal booth like a big “change house”. However, this is not the main thing. A few hundred meters from the houses, the occupiers were preparing a line of defense, including digging with heavy equipment. Such arrangement of the fortifications excludes the possibility of artillery strikes against the fortifications of the occupiers, ”Andryushchenko wrote.
He noted that information about the beginning of fortification and construction work between the Azovsky market and the building of the former OBI supermarket was received recently from local residents. Later, the occupying authorities began cautious announcements in the mode “answer to a question” that it was the construction of “modular houses for the homeless in Mariupol.” In fact, it was cynically planned to use people who lost their homes as a result of Russia’s aggression as a “human shield”.

It will be recalled that in Mariupol, a tractor of the occupiers was blown up by a mine. Three people died.
It was previously learned that the occupiers accelerated the demolition of houses in Mariupol. Corpses of the dead continue to be removed along with construction debris.
