As stated in the Ministry of Energy, earlier some media published incorrect publications about the upcoming increase in this tariff.
Today, a number of media outlets and telegram channels disseminated false information about the alleged increase in electricity tariffs for the population from January 1, 2024, citing in their reports an interview with the head of the National Commission for State Regulation in the Spheres of Energy and Utilities, Konstantin Ushchapovsky. However, the speaker himself did not make such statements in his interview. NEURC publicly denied the information contained in journalistic reports, the state regulator said in a statement.
The scandal is probably related to the publication “Why you need to prepare for an increase in electricity prices. Interview with the head of the energy regulator” on the website “Economic Truth”.
According to officials, false information about power outages, the unpreparedness of the energy system for winter, or an increase in tariffs is constantly spreading in our information space throughout Russia.
Their goal is to sow fear, panic, reduce public faith in Victory and, as a result, weaken the entire country and our ability to resist the enemy. That is why Ukrainian journalists playing along with these Russian IPSOs is unacceptable. Therefore, we once again ask you to be vigilant and not to help the enemy’s actions in the information space, the ministry added.
