An FSB track and field agent in the Khmelnitsky region was sentenced to 15 years for spying for the aggressor country. He was found guilty under the High Treason article made under martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code). The attacker ran up to 50 kilometers to carry out the tasks of the Russian special services. The SBU reported this on Telegram on Friday, November 17.
“The attacker turned out to be a local athletics coach who runs from 10 to 50 km every day to monitor the bases and routes of Ukrainian troops.
“While running, he took covert photos and videos. To do this, he used the camera of his own mobile phone, which was statically attached to his hand,” the report said.
The enemy agent developed a topographical diagram for the invaders, in which he indicated the coordinates of Ukrainian checkpoints on the main roads in the region for planning air attacks and possible reconnaissance operations and sabotage.
“SBU counterintelligence officers detained the attacker in May 2022, when he was secretly photographing one of Ukrzaliznytsia’s local facilities.
According to the Security Service, the court sentenced the detainee to 15 years in prison with confiscation of assets,” the SBU said.
The security service added that the 55-year-old sports coach recruited remotely in March 2022. He is a former graduate of the Leningrad Military School, where he studied during the USSR, and then until 1992 he served in the rank of the Taman Division on the territory of the Russian Federation. He then retired from military service and moved to Ukraine.
For each enemy task completed, the attacker received a reward from the conquerors, which was transferred to his bank card.
As we already wrote, the SBU detained a “mole” of the FSB who got a job in Zaporizhzhia OVA to “leak” information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south of Ukraine.
In addition, in one of Vinnitsa’s restaurants a fight broke out between two groups of guests over listening to Russian chanson. In one of the companies there was a military person from the front line, in another – counterintelligence officers from the SBU.
