The traffic jam for trucks continues in three directions. Carriers began choosing other routes, the State Border Guard Service reported.
Polish carriers continued to block the movement of trucks at the main checkpoints Yagodin, Rawa Ruska and Krakovets, which is why queues appeared at other checkpoints in Poland. This was announced by the representative of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko at the telethon, writes Ukrinform.
“Traffic blocking for trucks in three directions continues. In the morning, on the territory of Poland in the direction of exit from this country to Ukraine there are about 2,400 cargo vehicles. The largest number is opposite Yagodin checkpoint, it is 1,100 trucks,” Demchenko noted.
It is reported that many trucks are allowed to pass in all directions per hour, and more or less heavy traffic is observed only at the Krakovets checkpoint, when trucks leave Ukraine.
Demchenko added that the carriers began to choose other routes, including for several days, trucks accumulated in front of the Shegini checkpoint, where there are also about 1,100 trucks. In total, according to the spokesman, the number of cars waiting to cross the border from Poland to Ukraine in the last days is 2400-2500 units.
Regarding yesterday’s warning strike by Slovak carriers, Demchenko noted that it did not last long and did not affect traffic.
We remind you that on November 6, a strike by Polish carriers began on the Polish-Ukrainian border. In just a few days, the queues were tens of kilometers long, containing thousands of trucks.
On November 16, the media reported that Poland faces sanctions from the EU for blocking Ukraine’s borders.
Negotiations with Polish carriers failed
