Budget without aid to Ukraine: Biden signs into law

Several US federal agencies received funding until January 19, 2024. Some other bodies will be funded under the interim budget until February 2, 2024.

US President Joe Biden on November 16 signed a temporary budget bill that does not provide aid to Ukraine and Israel. Thus, the United States was able to avoid the shutdown. The White House reported it.

It was noted that several US federal agencies received funding until January 19, 2024 to extend projects and activities. Some other government bodies will be financed under the interim budget until February 2, 2024.

We remind you that the other day the US House of Representatives in its regular meeting adopted a budget to finance the government for two months without aid to Ukraine.

Earlier, the US House of Representatives approved the temporary funding for the government, which can avoid the so-called shutdown. The White House tried to include a compromise of $6 billion for Ukraine in the draft budget until mid-November, but this initiative did not get enough votes.
