Radio Liberty reports this.
Thus, according to the mayor of Novaya Kakhovka, Vladimir Kovalenko, there are no longer any local residents in the village of Korsunka, Novokakhovka community; now there is a large amount of broken Russian equipment there.
Korsunka is empty; after the flooding, almost no one returned there, Kovalenko emphasized.
There are also devastated villages in the occupied Oleshkovo community.
This is the village of Podstepnoe, Krynki, Nechaevo. I don’t know how many people actually remain in Peschanivka. There is no one to contact, there are no people,” said the head of the Oleshkovskaya MBA, Tatyana Gasanenko.
In total, 13 settlements belong to the Oleshkovo community. For now, there is a demarcation line between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian army. Settlements located in close proximity to the Dnieper are suffering the most.
By the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the Oleshkovskaya territorial community numbered almost 40 thousand people; now, according to very arbitrary estimates, no more than 9 thousand remained there. In Oleshki itself, out of a population of 20 thousand, about 3 thousand remain. For some other settlements, the inhabitants can be counted on the fingers of one or two hands,” Gasanenko noted.
