The company announced this on its website.
It is reported that five vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine at the end of 2023 or early 2024.
Caracal is a tactical airborne vehicle based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class civilian SUV.
The design of the vehicle allows two units to be transported both in the internal cargo compartments and on the external slings of CH- helicopters47°F Chinook and CH-53K King Stallion, writes “Military”.
The manufacturer provides the optional option of installing additional ballistic protection elements.
The modular design allows you to install and combine a variety of weapons, from machine guns to anti-tank missile systems.
Considering the purpose of the vehicle, it can be assumed that it will be used in the Special Operations Forces or special forces units of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
On October 10, Germany announced a new package of military assistance to Ukraine, as part of which Ukrainian SOF should receive unnamed vehicles. It can be assumed that this was specifically about Caracal.
In June it was reported that Germany and the Netherlands were jointly purchasing Caracal SUVs from the German concern Rheinmetall.
The contract is worth 302.5 million euros, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2025. Production will last 5 years – produce 100 cars annually.
