The Ukrainian Security Service has exposed a Russian henchman who was collecting intelligence about the locations and movements of the Defense Forces in the region. At the beginning of the invasion, the attacker went abroad, but actively supported the invaders. The Russian intelligence service recruited him remotely. The SBU press center reported this on November 14.
The traitor returned to Ukraine in March 2023 and tried to discover possible locations of military airfields with military aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He also recorded Ukrainian objects, and then transmitted the report to the enemy in the form of text and photographs with location reference.
He communicated from the FSB because of his “connections.” One of them turned out to be pro-Kremlin blogger Sergei Lebedev (better known under the pseudonym “Shaggy”), located in temporarily occupied Donetsk and working for the Russians. In June, this attacker was informed in absentia of treason and his network of informants in the Nikolaev region was neutralized.
The detainee has already been informed of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He was sent to a pre-trial detention center and faces up to 12 years in prison.
Let us remind you that the SBU detained in the Vinnytsia region an agent of the Russian FSB who was preparing a series of Russian air attacks on transport and energy infrastructure facilities.
