With the help of his social network post, the former People’s Democratic Party “surrendered” a pro-Ukrainian student in Crimea to the Russian security forces.
The former MP from the Svoboda party, Irina Farion, once again found herself in a scandal. In the past, he said that he could not call military personnel who speak Russian Ukrainians. Today, with the help of his post on the social network, he “handed over” a pro-Ukrainian student to the Russian security forces in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

After the infuriating statement about the military and student protests against Farion, who demanded his dismissal from Lviv University, the linguist began to widely publish screenshots from posts in support.
In particular, on November 8, he published a screenshot of a letter from a pro-Ukrainian 1st year student from Crimea, Maxim Glebov.

The letter indicated the name and surname of the sender, and also said that he was from Kerch and was studying at the Faculty of Philology in Simferopol.
In the comments on the post, Farion was immediately asked to hide the man’s details (specifically, his last name) so as not to endanger himself. But the linguist refused to do so and threatened to block the user for such advice.
“Don’t give advice if you’re not asked. Am I hiding a last name? Why did you hide yours? Block it? “Farion wrote.
After that, Russian Telegram channels reported that the Russian FSB visited Glebov in Crimea and took him to the center for combating extremism.
Informants from the Crimean SMERSH reported that the man was found. According to a message on the Telegram channel, the data published by Farion “was enough” to capture the man.

A video of the student’s “repentance” was also published online, as occupiers often do.
The man sat in front of the Russian tricolor and was forced to record a video confession in which he said that he “had an intelligent conversation” and that he “completely renounced his views because he understood that he is wrong.”
In the video, the man looks depressed, unsure of his future fate.
Reaction
The President’s Permanent Representative to Crimea, Tamila Tasheva, called ex-People’s Deputy Irina Farion’s publication of a student’s letter from the occupied peninsula a crime, after which the FSB cleared it and vowed to bring Farion to justice.
“It is obscenity and a crime to post messages in general from a person who wrote to you from a temporarily occupied territory. Every day I communicate with such citizens from Crimea, we in the office of the President’s representative of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to systematically monitor the so-called “trials” of our citizens who, through their actions, “discredit” the armed forces of the aggressor country. Now we know at least in 535 such as “discredits,” said Tasheva.
The Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmitry Lubinets, said that upon the disclosure of confidential information, he contacted the Security Service “for an appropriate response.”
Farion himself categorically denied all accusations that because of data “leaked” on his post, the FSB detained a pro-Ukrainian student in occupied Crimea.
“I see that they are spreading another provocation against me, as if a student was imprisoned because of me. Gentlemen. Do not be fooled by the enemy’s KGB tactics. Hundreds of people support me, and I thank them for this. Besides, I don’t know, where these people came from,” said Farion.
