People’s Deputy Alexander Dubinsky was suspected of treason. According to investigators, he was part of a criminal organization formed by the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, which is known as the GRU.

The press services of the SBU, DBI and the Office of the Prosecutor General reported this today, November 13.
According to the investigation, he had the call sign “Buratino” and was part of a criminal organization formed by the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (known as the game), the SBU notes. — The main task of this organization is to undermine the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our state in the international arena. For this, the group members received money from Russian military intelligence.
According to law enforcement:
- the criminal organization was created in 2016 by the deputy head of the Russian game Vladimir Alekseev as an agent network operating in the capital of Ukraine;
- Alekseev’s deputy, Alexey Savin, was in charge of the operational management of the enemy group from Russian territory;
- In addition to Dubinsky, the enemy group also included People’s Deputy Andrei Derkach, who fled abroad on the eve of the full-scale Russian invasion;
- This intelligence network also included former prosecutor Konstantin Kulik. He had the call sign “Bird” and is now hiding from justice abroad. During information sabotage against Ukraine, Kulik publicly engaged in pseudo-legal justification for fakes in favor of the Kremlin;
- the subversive activities of a criminal organization in Kyiv were coordinated by Derkach’s ex-assistant, a former employee of the game during the USSR, Igor Kolesnikov, who, according to SBU materials, has already been convicted and is serving a sentence for high treason;
- financing of the network reached more than 10 million dollars. USA.
It is noted that the group spread fakes about the highest military-political leadership of our state, in particular about alleged interference in the presidential elections in the United States.
In November 2019, people’s deputies organized a joint press conference at which they spread a fake about the alleged interference of Ukrainian officials in the US presidential elections in 2020. Thus, they tried to worsen relations between Ukraine and its strategic partner,” said the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Based on the collected evidence, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine informed Dubinsky of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 1 Art. 111 (high treason);
- Part 1 Art. 255 (creation, management of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it).
Under the same articles, suspicion was reported to GRU officers Alexey and Savin, who created a criminal organization and were involved in inciting high treason, as well as Russian agents Derkach and Kulik.
The perpetrators face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The issue of choosing Dubinskaya as a preventive measure is currently being decided. The investigation continues to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
