The driver spent the night at the Monada hostel, where at approximately 1.30 a.m. TCC officers and police officers burst in and forcibly took him and other men to the military registration and enlistment office. The man tried to explain that he was the only driver for a children’s group of athletes, but TCC employees did not take his words into account.
At the military registration and enlistment office, the man’s phone was taken away and he was not allowed to contact his family and coaches. After the military medical commission, he was immediately sent to a training center in Chernigov.
The head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, Sergei Borzov, took control of this situation, promising to resolve all issues of safety and transportation of athletes.
The carrier prepared another driver to return the children home. True, the keys to their bus remained at the military registration and enlistment office. Not a single driver decided to go to the military registration and enlistment office to get the keys. Only a migrant from Mariupol living in Uzhgorod decided to do this.
