Mount Etna erupts on the Italian island of Sicily. Sky News reported this.

It was reported that on the night of November 12-13, the volcano began to spew ash columns and fountains of lava at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level. Scientists are monitoring Europe’s tallest active volcano by analyzing images from a network of surveillance cameras.

Despite the volcanic activity, the nearby airport in Catania remains operational.

The previous eruption of the volcano happened on August 13.

Let’s recall that a small new island was formed off the Japanese island of Iwoto after the underwater volcanic eruption that occurred at the end of last month. Scientists say plumes of magma and seawater rise every few minutes during eruptions, possibly reaching heights of more than 50 meters, sometimes spewing rocks several meters in diameter that form a new island

In Iceland, a volcanic eruption could destroy a city near Reykjavik
