A Georgian volunteer officer died in Ukraine

Since February 2022, more than 50 Georgian volunteers who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have died in the war in Ukraine.

On Friday, November 10, Georgian volunteer Irakli Kurtsikidze died during the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Georgian group in the Ukrainian MTR, Lieutenant Colonel Vano Nadiradze.

“The strongest and most talented officer of Georgia died heroically two days ago, we did not write until our relatives found out. Irakli Kurtsikidze left a great name for Ukraine , brother, for the sake of Georgia,” Nadiradze wrote on Facebook.

The Georgian branch of Radio Liberty wrote that the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the death of Kurtsikidze.

The publication reported that since February 2022, more than 50 Georgian volunteers who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have died in the war in Ukraine.

It was previously reported that a volunteer from Poland died in a hospital in Kharkov.
