Hafthor Bjornsson became famous for his role as Gregor Clegane, nicknamed the Mountain, in the hit series Game of Thrones.
Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson has revealed that his wife Kelsey Hanson suffered late-onset fetal loss. He said this on his Instagram page.
According to him, his daughter, named Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir, was born at 21 and a half weeks.
He also posted a picture of his wife lying in a hospital bed and showed off the baby.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the birth of our daughter, Grace Morgan Hafthorsdottir, who was born on November 8th at 21.5 weeks gestation. After a noticeable weakening of her movements, we discovered that her heart stopped beating. Words cannot describe our pain at this loss and our happiness for having time with our daughter, she is absolutely beautiful, with light eyelashes and eyebrows and a small that smile for mom and dad. The love we have for him is overwhelming us. The sadness we feel will stay with us forever, just like love. All our hopes and dreams for him have been taken away from us, but I know I will be with him again. His spirit lives on in us and his brothers and sisters. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time “as we grieve this unbearable loss. Thank you all for your kind words and support,” the actor wrote.
It should be noted that Thor and Kelsey already have a three-year-old son, Stormur, and they only announced their new pregnancy a few weeks ago.
