Germany aims to double military aid to Ukraine to eight billion euros by 2024 instead of the planned four.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius confirmed Germany’s intention to double military aid to Ukraine by 2024. He said this on Sunday, November 12, on ARD.
“This is a strong signal to Ukraine, showing that we are not giving up,” Pistorius said when asked about plans for military aid to Ukraine.
According to him, Germany in this case is guided by the experience of 2023, which showed that the planned amounts quickly dried up.
Thus, as a result of the planned increase in aid to Ukraine, German defense spending will reach 2.1% of GDP.
Europe will not allow Vladimir Putin to destroy the security of the European continent, said the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Mezola.
NATO countries should be prepared for aggression from Russia. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced this on Friday, October 27.
