The men of the city are trying by any means to avoid conscription:
- quit their job;
- hiding;
- travel to other localities.
Mobilized citizens who were unable to evade military service are sent for military training to the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation, the General Staff notes.
Starobelsk was occupied by Russia in March 2022.
