As part of the execution of the order of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Defense is already working on clearing the territories. To do this, the remains of destroyed enemy equipment are collected and grouped in approximately 80 areas in Ukraine. The defense department announced this on November 12 in Telegram.
First, Ministry of Defense experts visit these areas, and then they are inspected by sappers. The subsequent fate of the remains of the equipment depends on its condition.
Shot down and destroyed Russian equipment can be a donor of spare parts for Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment or can become a museum exhibit or part of exhibitions. In addition, the equipment can be disposed of as scrap metal.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian army has lost 5 thousand 349 tanks, 10 thousand 73 armored combat vehicles, 7 thousand 559 artillery systems, 881 multiple launch rocket systems, 9 thousand 944 units.
