The rescuers reminded that tourists need appropriate equipment in this weather.
The real winter has arrived in the Carpathian mountains. The State Emergency Service reports this on its Facebook page.
The Montenegrin mountain search and rescue post noted that at 09:00 on November 12, it was cloudy at Mount Pop Ivan Montenegrin, with a northerly wind at a speed of 4-7 m/s, and an air temperature of -6°C. Snowfall, limited visibility.
The rescuers reminded that tourists in this season must have appropriate equipment, clothes, shoes, equipment, first aid kit, food and water supply.
Equipment must be comfortable, light and functional, clothing must be protected from wind and moisture, shoes must be reliable.
Before traveling, be sure to check the weather forecast. If the weather is predicted to worsen, this is a reason to cancel the trip. You must be accompanied by an experienced guide.
“Be sure to register your trip with mountain search and rescue units. For convenience, this can be done in advance through online forms or the Mountain Rescue mobile application,” said the State Emergency Service.
As we already wrote, weather forecasters predicted heavy snow in the Carpathians, blizzards in places, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s, icy conditions on the roads, and daytime temperatures around 0 ℃ .
Note that the world’s monthly temperature record was broken again in October. October was the fifth consecutive month with record high temperatures worldwide.
