The Washington Post published material in which it again tries to connect the Nord Stream explosions with Ukraine.

The publication, citing anonymous interlocutors “informed of the impending operation,” claims that it was coordinated by Colonel Roman Chervinsky.
He allegedly handled the logistics and coordinated the work of six people who rented a sailing vessel under false names and used deep-sea diving equipment to plant explosives on gas pipelines.
Through his lawyer, Chervinsky denied his involvement in sabotage and stated that this information was being spread by Russian propaganda without any basis.
Now Roman Chervinsky is in a pre-trial detention center in the case of an unsuccessful operation to hijack a Russian plane.
The publication writes that Chervinsky allegedly did not act on his own; the officer received orders from senior Ukrainian officials subordinate to General Valery Zaluzhny. They mention a document leak involving US military officer Jack Teixeira.
They allegedly say that the operation was developed in such a way that President Zelensky was not aware of its preparation, and everyone involved in the planning and implementation reported directly to Zaluzhny.
Chervinsky’s possible role illustrates the complex dynamics and internal rivalries of the wartime government in Kyiv, where the intelligence and military establishment are often in tense standoffs with the country’s political leadership, the newspaper writes.
Journalists also claim that in June 2022, Dutch intelligence learned about the impending operation, after which, according to sources, the CIA contacted Zaluzhny and reported that the United States was against it.
American officials believed that the operation was canceled, but it turned out that it was only postponed by three months. The key elements remained unchanged, the material says.
General Zaluzhny himself emphasized that after the gas pipeline explosion he spoke with the then Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley.
He asked me: do you have anything to do with this? I answered: No. We have nothing to do with this,” said the general.
Roman Chervinsky, because of his lawyer, answered reporters that the Russians were spreading fake news about his involvement.
