Moschino creative director Davide Renne died nine days after his appointment.
The creative director of Italian brand Moschino, Davide Renne, has died aged 46, just nine days after being appointed to the position. The BBC reported it.
It was noted that the fashion designer died in Milan on Friday, November 10. The cause of death is still unknown, but a statement from Aeffe, which owns the Moschino brand, refers to a “sudden illness.”
“Despite the fact that we have been with David for a very short time, he was able to immediately gain love and respect,” said Aeffe Chairman of the Board Massimo Ferretti.
Renne previously headed the womenswear department at Gucci, where she worked for nearly 20 years.
David Renne was born in the municipality of Follonica, Tuscany, in July 1977. He studied at the University of Florence and the Polimoda fashion school. At the beginning of his career he worked with the Italian fashion designer Alessandro Dell Acqua, and in 2004 he moved to Gucci.
Renne’s appointment as creative director of Moschino was announced in October, and he officially took office on November 1. The designer’s first collection for Moschino is scheduled for Milan Fashion Week in February 2024.
It was previously reported that more than 50 items from Balmain’s spring-summer collection were stolen days before the start of Paris Fashion Week.
We remind you that in June the winners of the prestigious fashion award ANDAM Fashion Award 2023 were awarded in Paris. The famous Ukrainian hatmaker Ruslan Baginsky was also a laureate of the Accessories Award.
