Defense forces may attack Russian oil and gas infrastructure in response to attacks on the Ukrainian energy grid during the winter. The aggressor constantly carries out cyber attacks on Ukraine’s power grid, and with the onset of cold weather it can fire at critical facilities. Energy Minister German Galushchenko stated this in an interview with Politico.
That would be fair. In response to Russia’s attack, we will respond with the same approach, attacking their energy infrastructure,” the minister noted.
Galushchenko also believes the fear that an attack on Russia’s ability to produce or transport oil and gas will lead to a price hike is exaggerated. Other manufacturers could compensate for the supply on the market.
Let us recall that in October, Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko called on Ukrainians to stock up on generators for the winter. The official assured that the power engineers and air defense, for their part, would do everything to ensure that generators were not needed.
