In Vinnitsa, a criminal group that terrorized city residents and tried to “take over” the agricultural business in the region was neutralized. During the robbery, they demanded money from the victims as a regular “tribute”, and in case of refusal, they threatened with violence and destruction of private and corporate property.

Among the detainees are a deputy of the Vinnytsia District Council, elected from the banned party OPZZH, and two of his accomplices – employees of the Municipal Guard of the City Council.
During a search of the detained deputy’s premises, firearms and ammunition were seized. And his accomplices were found in possession of cash and rough notes of the “debtors.”
The perpetrators face up to 12 years with confiscation of property, the SBU reported.
