17-year-old Bogdan Ermokhin, deported from Mariupol, who will turn 18 on November 19, received a summons to Russia to appear at the military registration and enlistment office on December 19. This was reported by Ekaterina Bobrovskaya, the lawyer of the deported teenager.
“Despite the fact that Bogdan is still 17 years old, he has already received a summons to appear at the military registration and enlistment office of the Moscow region on December 19, 2023. I have no doubt that the Russian authorities will there are plans for Bogdan. In two weeks, Bogdan will be 18 years old, he will become an adult and he will probably be sent to the Russian army,” Bobrovskaya said in a press release.
Bogdan was reportedly one of 31 children forced to “work on camera” during a visit by Russian children’s ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova.
According to the lawyer, Bogdan Ermokhin, who was orphaned at the age of eight, lived with his guardian’s family, but in July 2022 he was transferred to care in Russia. Since then, he has made several unsuccessful attempts to return to Ukraine.
In the Russian Federation, Bogdan was given a Russian passport, and now a summons.
