The President of Ukraine discussed with his colleague from Sierra Leone the Peace Formula and the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on the phone with the President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio and discussed the peace formula in Ukraine. The head of state announced this on Telegram on Monday, November 6.
Zelensky said he was glad to resume relations between the states at the highest level after a 20-year hiatus.
At the same time, the President of Ukraine congratulated Sierra Leone on its election to the UN Security Council for 2024-2025 and expressed hope for continued consistent support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
“We discussed our Peace Formula, the successful meeting of advisers in Malta and the consolidation of support for our peace vision among African countries, including regional platforms,” Zelensky said.
In addition, the head of state told the President of Sierra Leone about the Grain From Ukraine initiative and invited him to the second summit, which will take place within its framework.
We remind you that today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba arrived on a visit to the Republic of South Africa. This is the first visit of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister to Pretoria in 25 years.
