Defense enterprises fully fulfill orders from the Ministry of Defense. Now the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is ready to produce even more weapons and is awaiting new contracts. General Director of Ukroboronprom German Smetanin stated this in an interview with Economic Pravda.
If we talk about volumes, over the four quarters of 2023 we will increase production output by 62% compared to last year, he noted.
According to him, the main priority of Ukroboronprom is the production of ammunition. However, important areas are drones, armored vehicles, anti-tank missile systems and air defense systems.
Let us recall that General Director of Ukroboronprom German Smetanin said that a new Ukrainian kamikaze drone had been launched into mass production. Units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces are already ordering domestic UAVs for their operations.
