Vladimir Zelensky wanted the trip to be public when he set foot on Israeli soil, the diplomat said.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s trip to Israel is now in jeopardy because of leaked information about his upcoming visit. The Times of Israel reported this on Sunday, November 5, citing an unnamed Ukrainian diplomat.
According to him, Zelensky had actually planned to visit Israel, but the leak of information about his trip put it in jeopardy.
“He wanted the trip to be public when he set foot on Israeli soil. He was very disappointed,” the diplomat said.
The publication recalls that Zelensky and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have not visited each other’s countries since the beginning of the mass terrorist attack in Ukraine, although they recently met in New York.
“As Moscow hosts representatives of Hamas and introduces anti-Israel resolutions at the UN, Jerusalem may seek to move the clock closer to Kyiv,” the report said.
Earlier, Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky said that Vladimir Zelensky could come to Israel for a visit at any time.
And on November 3, the media reported the timing of Zelensky’s possible visit to Israel.
