The Armed Forces of Ukraine officially confirmed that on November 3, Russian troops attacked the 128th brigade in the direction of Zaporozhye with an Iskander-M missile, the Stratcom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
It was noted that the enemy launched a treacherous attack on 26 settlements in Zaporozhye, Pologovsky and Vasilyevsky districts.
In particular, an Iskander-M missile hit the personnel of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade, as a result of which military personnel were killed and local residents were injured in varying degrees of severity.
“Currently, the clarification of the circumstances continues. The Armed Forces of Ukraine sympathize with every family whose relatives were taken by the Russian aggression,” the message said.
In turn, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov said that he instructed the main inspection department to conduct an investigation into the death of defenders from the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Transcarpathian Brigade.
In the past, the media reported that more than 20 military personnel had previously died, including the former head of the Khmelnitsky regional radio and technical center. Soldiers may gather in one place for Missile Forces and Artillery Day honors.
