The founder of one of the Rivne publications, Taras Davidyuk, took part in the Maidan self-defense, then served in a volunteer battalion, and later in one of the separate reconnaissance battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The founder and editor-in-chief of the Rivne publication Goryn.info, 37-year-old Taras Davidyuk, died on the front. This was announced on Friday, November 3, by the publication he founded.
“Taras is known throughout the patriotic community of the Rivne region, because since then he has been active in various patriotic organizations. Since 2002, in the social movement. He is a member Young Rukh. In 2005-2012 – chairman of the regional organization and member of the Central Wire youth organization. There was also a bare regional organization of Rivne Active youth“, said the message.
Taras Davidyuk graduated from the Ostroh Academy and is a political scientist by training. And by vocation, as his colleagues say about him, he is a history teacher and journalist.
In the winter of 2013-2014, he took part in the Maidan self-defense. At the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he served in the Harpun volunteer battalion, and then in one of the separate reconnaissance battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He only returned home in the spring of 2019.
At the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Taras went to the front, and in recent months he fought in the 14th separate regiment, together with his brothers returning from the Harpoon.
As the publication clarified, Taras Davidyuk died in the vicinity of the village of Robotino, Zaporozhye region.
Let’s remember that since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine, from 2014 to 2023, 75 media workers were killed, of which only seven died before 2022.
