Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah spoke publicly on November 3 for the first time in years and endorsed Hamas’ attack on Israel. He called it “a 100 percent Palestinian covert operation.”

Hezbollah’s secretary general spoke via video link from an undisclosed location. His speech was broadcast to a large crowd of fans gathered in the southern outskirts of Beirut.
According to CNN, shots of approval into the air can be heard in the city, accompanying Nasrallah’s speech. He has not spoken publicly since 2006, when the Moon War broke out between Lebanon and Israel.
His speech comes amid clashes between the Israeli army and Iran-backed Hezbollah. The sides exchange fire across the border. Hezbollah has already announced that it has already lost 54 people killed. Today, the IDF announced a transition to a “high alert” regime on the border with Lebanon.
Nasrallah praised the “glorious operation” carried out by Hamas on October 7, arguing that the attack showed the “fragility, weakness and fragility of Israel”
He also said that the attack on Israel was planned by Hamas in secret and was “100% Palestinian.” Hamas, according to Nasrallah, did not coordinate its actions with anyone and did not warn about them.
This glorious, massive operation created an earthquake in security, military affairs, politics, diplomacy and even psychologically, he said. “This will have profound strategic consequences.”
The Hezbollah leader expressed condolences to “the families of the martyrs in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and all the places where the oppressed have risen” and congratulated fighters joining the battle in Iraq and Yemen.
Let us recall that on October 7, Hamas carried out an unprecedented attack on Israel; the group’s militants entered kibbutzim and cities near the Gaza Strip and killed at least 1.4 thousand Israelis. Another 240 people were taken hostage. Hamas seeks the destruction of the State of Israel and the creation of an Islamic state throughout Palestine. The US, UK and other countries consider Hezbollah and Hamas terrorist organizations.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israel’s prime minister on Friday to underscore US calls for a humanitarian pause in the fighting in Gaza amid concerns that the conflict could spread to wider areas and reports that Israel is prepared to defend against attacks on the border with Lebanon.
Israeli troops have tightened their seal on Gaza City, critical to their efforts to destroy the enclave’s ruling Hamas militants, who have carried out brutal attacks on Israeli communities that sparked the war.
But after the Oct. 7 attack, there were fears that the conflict could spark fighting on other fronts, and Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah have exchanged fire repeatedly along the border.
