The driver of a passenger car did not yield to the driver of a DAF truck with a trailer, resulting in a collision between the vehicles.
In the Zaporozhye region on Friday, November 3, a BMW collided with a truck. Because of this, the driver of the car and his two passengers died at the scene, another passenger was hospitalized, reports the National Police.
It was noted that the car driver was moving on the road to the village of Spasovka, Volnyansky district. At the intersection on the Zaporozhye-Donetsk highway, he did not give preference to the driver of a DAF truck with a trailer, which was moving in the direction of the regional center. Because of this, the car collided.
“As a result of the accident, the driver of the BMW car and his two passengers, women 63 and 22 years old, received non-life-threatening injuries, another 22-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital there are injuries,” the police said.
The State Emergency Service noted that rescuers had to use hydraulic and power tools to free the victim and the bodies of the dead from the mangled vehicle.
Using mechanical foam, rescuers were able to stop the gasoline fire from spilling onto the road.
