According to the head of the region, an epidemiological investigation is ongoing, and biomaterial from contact persons and the external environment is being collected.
The patient was hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of one of the hospitals in the Ternopil region. We are keeping the situation under control,” said OVA Chairman Trush.
This is the third region where cases of the disease have been recorded. Prior to this, cases of hepatitis A were recorded in Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
In the Vinnytsia region, as of November 3, 219 cases of the disease were confirmed in the region. 262 people, including 36 children, sought medical help, 111 people were hospitalized, 87 patients were discharged.
