The only effective way to stop the aggressor is to strengthen the Polish army, the head of the Ministry of Defense emphasized.

A new 8th Mechanized Division will be created in Poland, its headquarters will be located in the city of Nowe Miasto nad Pilica, located in the east of the country, 80 km southwest of Warsaw. This was announced by Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak, reports Ukrinform.

“We are preparing to create a new unit. Why is this necessary? Because the Polish army must be strong. The only effective way to deter the aggressor is to strengthen the Polish army,” he said.

The division includes: three mechanized brigades, an artillery and armored brigade, a logistics regiment, an anti-tank and anti-aircraft regiment, a control battalion, as well as reconnaissance and chemical battalions.

Blaszczak announced the creation of two new brigades in the Ground Forces structure of the Polish Armed Forces in June.

Let’s remember that the Minister of Defense of Poland said earlier that the Polish army will be the strongest land army in Europe. In addition, the Polish army may be the largest in Europe.
