At the same time, the majority of Ukrainians surveyed believe that constructive criticism of the authorities during the war is beneficial, indicates a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology.
If in May 2022 the majority of Ukrainians (68%) preferred to avoid any disputes and believed that they should be postponed until victory, now the opinion has changed dramatically – almost 70% of respondents consider it appropriate to criticize the authorities for wrong decisions. The position of the citizens surveyed is unanimous in all regions of the country.
In October 2023, the situation became diametrically opposite: now 70% of Ukrainians consider it important to criticize possible erroneous decisions of the authorities, and 25% insist on avoiding any disputes, says the KIIS report.
In all regions of Ukraine, the majority of respondents believe that even now it makes sense to criticize possible erroneous and incorrect actions of the authorities.
Let us remind you that the all-Ukrainian survey was conducted during September 30 – October 13, 2023 using telephone interviews using a computer. Residents of temporarily occupied territories could not be included in the sample, and the survey was not conducted with citizens abroad.
